Each petal needs to be textured in a petal press, or using a petal veiner. Each petal needs to be thinned with the second-to-largest ball tool, using the purple mat.
Remember to dry your centre (step 1) for a few days. Dry your wired petals thoroughly on foam mats before taping on.
If you are colouring the petals, make sure to blend colours to get a more natural look. Don't colour before the petals are dry. Use a base colour for the whole petal, and two accent colours; one for the base of the petal and one to highlight the tip of the top edge.
